‘Little mistake of Nature’, 2008, Wassenaar , The Netherlands

Last week, there was an opening of a sculpture exhibition (‘Hoogspanning’)in the park ‘Paauw’ around the cityhall of the village of Wassenaar, very close to The Hague. I participated with a workshop/masterclass with seven students of the visual ‘Vrije Academie’ from The Hague. We have worked 4 days on the beautiful location and had an intense and dynamic atmosphere. The concentration and dedication to the work was terrific despite of a lot of political carry on at the site of our adventure! Moreover, the organisation was especially focused on the Royal prince and princess who opened the exhibition and with whom I had a nice chat last week.

Our installation is called ‘Identiteit is weten wie je bent omdat je hondje je herkent’(free translation on a quote of Gertrude Stein’s ‘Identity is knowing who you are, because your doggy recognizes you’).
